Mercedes & The Remix Project

Client Identity

This project was a partnership between The Remix Project and Mercedes-Benz Canada for their release of the 2019 G Wagon. The mission was to showcase the G Wagon by capturing the raw sounds of the vehicle (door closing, engine start, windshield wipers, etc.) and using the sounds to create a Spotify playlist of beats inspired by G Wagon.

CHALLENGE AND APPROACH

We documented the process from start to finish. From capturing the sounds being recorded, to documenting the producers transforming raw sounds into beats. In addition to this purpose, the footage was also used for a social media campaign promoting both the release of the vehicle and the Spotify playlist collaboration. The release event featured an interactive beat making station, and up and close view of the vehicle, live screenings of the social media campaign, and the behind the scenes documentary.
