Tim Hortons is a restaurant chain famous for their coffee, doughnuts & association to Canada’s national identity. Named after its founder Toronto Maple Leaf defenceman Tim Horton. The first store opened in Hamilton, ON in 1964. They are the largest restaurant chain in Canada operating over 3,600 locations nationwide. Tim Hortons is always looking to offer new products.
The launch of their new product Single Serve Coffee Cups needed some awareness. Tim Hortons wanted to create a customer experience of having their great tasting coffee anytime, anywhere. The mission was to share that with viewers.
We built a Tim Hortons kiosk seamlessly in the coffee aisle at Loblaws. Located in Mattamy Centre (previously Maple Leaf Gardens). We created a hidden camera setup including keeping our production away from public view. Capturing real moments of people first seeing the mini Tim Hortons booth & then experiencing their single serve coffee. Customer feedback was received through on camera interactions.
The final edit started with customer surprise reactions, then building up to the reveal of the kiosk. Finishing off with a product shot & the tagline “The taste you love, available at your grocery store”.
